The Wonder Girl
She’d stitch a dream, she’d walk for miles,
On the streets treading over a million smiles.
All alone, she’d go all alone,
To places unknown, no one has gone.
With a choked throat and a deluged heart,
Ready to explode and fall apart.
Her deep inside is flooded with pain,
Of wishful memories from the paradise lane.
Her magical eyes shining blue and bright,
Like a candle lighting a dark night.
Like a thousand stars glittering in the sky,
Like the air rippling from the wings of a butterfly.
She’d look at you, and you wouldn’t know,
She’d ask you things you can’t follow.
“Will you walk with me in the rain,
And stare at the stars yet again?
Will you share a ride in the air balloon,
Or lay with me by the blue lagoon?
Will you lend me your peace or borrow my pain?
Will you dance with me under the silver fountain?
Will you take me to the river unknown,
Where the thick meadow grass has grown?”
She’d stare at the heavens up above high,
She’d echo her name under the velvet sky.
Her pure innocence like a dew at dawn,
She’d wonder, “is this where I belong?”
Hanging from the tree by the creek, such a delight,
She’d wonder, “Could it be more right?”
Walk alone, does it have to be?
She’d wonder, “Could I be more happy?”
