A Journey Across Cultures
Listen closely, for I have a story to Tell.
A tale that’s stranger-than-fiction than mere memoir. Once an immigrant in the US, now a US citizen, my life has defied normalcy. Whether guided by destiny or plagued by plain bad luck, Murphy’s Law seemed to have a personal vendetta against me. While most immigrants led peaceful, incident-free lives, mine was a rollercoaster of unexpected events and bizarre situations.
Every challenge added a new splash of color to the canvas of my life, and I became adept at finding creative solutions to the chaos. My life stories became legendary among my colleagues. One colleague, always wide-eyed and speechless at my tales, insisted I write a book. I laughed it off—until a devastating breakup left me shattered. To distract myself, I started typing and didn’t stop for two weeks. Half a book later, I felt a profound sense of relief.
But life, as unpredictable as ever, intervened. The manuscript sat unfinished for seven years, gathering digital dust. Then came COVID-19. I lost my mother and returned to India with an abundance of time and a heart full of memories. In this reflective period, I resumed my writing.
Now, 20 years later, I am finally penning down the extraordinary narrative of my life, bit by bit. Through this blog, I invite you into my world—an adventure full of twists, turns, and a fair share of laughter and tears. Welcome to my story.
